Recently six students at Wakefield High School were named to honor bands across the state, including East Husker Conference Honor Band, Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band, Patriot of the Plains Honor Band, Kearny High School Underclassman Honor Band, and Wayne State College Honor Band. The students and their honors can be found below followed by the dates of the various concerts:

Madeline Trenhaile, clarinet: Nebraska Wesleyan University Honor Band and alternate for Patriot of the Plains Honor Band.

Nate Johnson, trombone: Kearney High School Underclassmen Honor Band, University of Nebraska at Kearney Honor Band, Patriot of the Plains Honor Band, East Husker Conference Honor Band, and Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band.

Maribel Fernandez, mallets: East Husker Conference Honor Band and alternate for Nebraska Wesleyan Honor Band.

Jazmynn Scott, clarinet: East Husker Honor Band.

Natalie Zuniga, clarinet: Kearney High School Underclassmen Honor Band, Wayne State College Honor Band, and East Husker Conference Honor Band.

Sawyer Brudigam, percussion: East Husker Conference Honor Band and alternate for Patriot of the Plains Honor Band.

The schedule for the various concerts are as follows:

Kearney High School Underclassmen Honor Band is Monday, January 20th, at 6:30 p.m. at Kearney High School in Kearney.

Wayne State Honor Band is Saturday, January 25th, at 4:30 p.m. in the Ramsey Theatre.

University of Nebraska at Kearney Honor Band is Monday, January 27th at 5:30 p.m. in in the Health and Sports Center.

Patriot of the Plains Honor Band is Saturday, February 1st at 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Northwest High School.

East Husker Conference Honor Band is Monday, February 10th at 5:00 p.m. in the Ramsey Theater at Wayne State College.

Nebraska Wesleyan University Honor Band is February 13th through the 15th, with the concert on the 15th at 2:30 p.m. in O’Donnell Auditorium.
