This year Crofton will be competing in the NSAA State Journalism competition for the first time in school history on April 24th. There are five qualifiers heading to State with their creative writing skills and ideas they've submitted. For more, sign up to the Crofton Journal.

The Tom Martin/Wausa track meet scheduled for today has been canceled. The meet will not be rescheduled.

It was a mad dash for candy during the Crofton Community Club's annual Easter Candy Run, held April 8th in Crofton's North City Park. Over 225 attended the event that attracted kids of all ages, parents, grandparents, and the Easter Bunny.

Crofton-Bloomfield wrestlers Braeden Guenther, Wyatt Tramp, Robbie Fisher and Annabelle Poppe qualified and competed for Team Nebraska at the AAU National Team Dual tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, was the site of the Nebraska History Day competition on April 1. Six St. Rose School students competed at the state contest with entries expressing the theme, "Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas." For more, sign up to the Journal!


The Lower Elkhorn NRD may soon find themselves without a general manager. On Monday, the Lowe Platte South NRD announced on its website that Mike Sousek had been named as the lone finalist for its general manager position. For the rest of this story, sign up the Crofton Journal!


The 1915 truss bridge crossing West Bow Creek three and a half miles south of Crofton on old Highway 121 or County Road 550 Avenue is being replaced this summer. Work began about a week ago and will go on for the next few months. For more details, sign up to the Journal!
