The Crofton Elementary Students were "Spreading the Love" during a week in February by hosting a canned food drive. All items were donated to the Yankton Contact Center. The Crofton Elementary Students collected a total of 566 items. For more news, sign up to the Crofton Journal.

Mrs. Connot's Kindergarten Class collected the most items amongst all other classes. They collected a total of 124 items.

Student Council members encouraged elementary students to bring items with daily announcements and posters.

The Knights of Columbus Regional Hoop Shoot took place on Sunday, March 19th at Crofton High School at 1:00 p.m. The winners of the regional tournament will advance to the state competition in Grand Island on April 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Grand Island Central Catholic High School. A Crofton Girl Scout has been "cooking with fire" as the Scouts' annual cookie sale continues through March 19 locally. Morgan Acuff, daughter of Nicole Gustin of Crofton, started selling with the intent of reaching her 600 box goal, and after she surpassed that with weeks to go, she kept selling, most recently crossing the 800-box mark. The Fremont Police Department is attempting to locate, Gary QUAST who is a 81 year old, white male approximately 5’ 9"https://services.nebraska.gov/PublicWeb/api/emaalert/image1/89 tall, approximately 155 pounds, with white hair, blue eyes and blue jeans, snap button shirt, camouflage hat. QUAST is missing from the 300 block of North Birchwood Drive in Fremont, Nebraska, and last seen at 11:00 am on March 3, 2023. QUAST is driving a Red 2014 Hyundai Sonata (NE plate 19438). After a hard fought game on both sides of the court, the Ponca Indians just managed to pull out a victory of 39-34 against The Crofton Warriors in sub districts on Thursday, February 16.
